On February 24, 2024, KRIA Law marked its third anniversary with a special session in collaboration with the International Trademark Association (INTA) at Chennai's historic Free Masons Hall. The event centred on "Data as an IP Asset," led by industry veteran Mr. V. Shankar of CAMS, and explored the Digital Personal Data Protection Act with experts Ms. Deepalakshmi Vadivelan and Ms. Vasanthika Srinath. They offered insights into treating company data as proprietary and strategies for its protection, monetization, and valuation. This session illuminated the implications of new legislation and strategies for data management, engaging both experts and novices. The event also marked the launch of KRIA Law’s first newsletter, a tribute to our ongoing commitment to enrich the IP community, celebrating a significant milestone in a venue bursting with heritage.
